Cathy Hibbert

Cathy specialises in working with neurodiverse young people at American College Consulting.  She’s passionate about her work and her belief that every student has their own path to success.

She brings a wealth of knowledge about Toronto private schools that are particularly supportive of diverse learners. During her teaching career Cathy held the roles of middle school teacher, Athletic Director, Guidance Counselor, and Vice Principal. 

After graduating from Western University (BA in Psychology) and George Brown College (Counseling Certification) she worked at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the CAMH educational outreach program. 

Cathy obtained her Masters of Science in Education from Canisius College. More recently she’s spent the last two years studying at the University of California, Irvine, obtaining an Independent Educational Consultant Certificate. 

Fun fact: Cathy was a professional water skier for over 10 years and spent three seasons performing in live action waterski and stunt shows in Germany! In her free time, she enjoys traveling and being active with her husband, Curtis and two teenage boys, Myles and Samuel.
